Telegraph

“Telegraph
Telephone
Tell a friend I’m leavin’
Heard you left
Me at home
But I’m here still breathin’
‘Cause she’s in me
Tell me where you’ve gone
Could I meet you later on
Should I Let you be
I guess I’m letting you go
It’s hard but it’s just like they say
You had to be so
Hard on my heart and my head
But I left our past
On the telegraph
Telephone
Tell a friend I’m grievin’
Lift it up
And tear it down
See what you believe in
‘Cause she’s in me
Tell me where you’ve gone
Could I meet you later on
Should I
Let you be (I’m gonna let you)
I guess I’m letting you go
It’s hard but it’s just like they say
You had to be so
Hard on my heart and my head
But I left our past
On the telegraph
Am I just waistin’ time
Trying to lose your mind
How do these things get done
So do you think it’s true
When it comes out of you
Aren’t we the lucky ones
Telegraph
Telephone
Tell a friend I’m leavin’
Cause she’s in me
Tell me where you’ve gone
Could I meet you later on
Should I
Let you be I’m gonna”

I absolutely LOVE this song. I have done for almost 2 years now. I want to promote this song to everyone I know. “Telegraph” - Drake Bell’s fantastic 1st album, has some of the best songs I know on it.

Click the play button at the top of this page to listen

Absolutely incredible song. Drake, Backhouse Mike & C.J. Abraham are some of the best musicians/writers of our time. Drake should be known as a musical genius for all ages instead of “Pop music for the kids”.

He is going to be HUGE.

Hang tough x

“We Sing. We Dance. We Steal Things.”

We Sing. We Dance. We Steal Things.

Right! Ello!

I bought the new Jason Mraz album a while ago (entitled “We Sing. We Dance. We Steal Things.”), It is amazing! I would say to you, this is an amazing bargain! BUY! BUY! BUY! If you get this album on itunes, you altogether with bonus tracks get 25 songs for £11! It is such a good deal! Every song is a little piece of heaven!

“Make It Mine” is a really good motivational introduction to this fantastic album, with trumpets (a first for mr. mraz) and a full orchestra score, this is a new side of Jason we haven’t seen before.

“I’m Yours” has probably been one of his most popular songs to date (excluding “The Remedy” - the song that made him famous). The first and only version up until this album that us hard-core Jason fans got in 2004-05 was a medium quality recording of him and a guitar which leaked through the internet, but this is the proper, mastered, full band version, it is a great song.

“Lucky” is a collaboration with Colbie Caillat. It is a nice song and Colbie and Jason are a nice partnership, this is a song about falling deeply in love with a friend.

“Butterfly” shows a horny jason! It is a good song, but with lyrics like “You be the dancer, i’ll be your pole and all your wearing are your shoes” This again shows a different side to Jason!

“Live High” is pretty much the title! A motivational song about living life to the full, and enjoying everything you do, pretty much Jason’s whole attitude to life!

“Love For A Child” is one of my favourite songs on the album, it has an incredible melody and slide guitar which adds to the inbetween lyrics of the verse and the motivational happy inspiring chorus lyrics. Listening to the lyrics I have interpreted that they are all about his broken childhood.

“Details In The Fabric (feat. James Morrison)” is another gem on this fantastic record, really interesting tune and really deep lyrics, and with yet another fantastic musician, James Morrison and Jason Mraz are a pair not to be messed with. They are a dynamic duo and sound fantastic together. I would love to hear more from this brilliant partnership.

“Coyotes” is by far THE best song on the album, I don’t quite know how to explain it! The melody, the deep electric piano, and the incredible vocals on the chorus, the only thing I can say is, LISTEN TO IT THE WHOLE WAY THROUGH!!!

“Only Human” has an interesting tune and really different, interesting lyrics. The lyrics are kind of disregarding any god complexes or arrogance that people have, saying that everyone is only human, even the Queen or the Sultan Of Brumei are only human.

“The Dynamo of Volition” is a fantastic example of Jason’s ability to rap as well as sing incredibly. He sings so fast its unbelievable! And the chorus if really catchy and happy, a real booster to listen to.

“If It Kills Me” is another great song on the record, the intro is a funny phone call made to Jason, it is an automated phone call and since Jason’s last name is different to how it is spelt the speaker says “merrz” which made me laugh. It has an uplifting chorus which fits the whole tone of the record. Great song.

“Beautiful Mess” is a fantastic finale to the record, the song is very beautiful, slow paced and with a lovely orchestra backing, I cannot think of another track great enough for the finale of the album.

That is my review track-by-track and if you dont buy this album you are an idiot, and if you don’t like his music then you cannot call yourself a music fan.

CHAMPIONS!!!

May 26, 2008 by Admin

I know this is a bit late, but Man U won the champions league on tuesday!

CHAMPIONS!!!

I was so happy it was crazy!!! Me and my dad (a fellow Man U supporter) cracked open a bottle of bubbly and made a toast to good old Sir Alex!

It was a crazy match! United were the better side in my opinion, but penalties are always a bad end to a match. Every single penalty shoot-out I have experienced has ended up with the side I am supporting losing, but that all changed on tuesday, despite Ronaldo’s awful penalty (which was easily saved by Cech). I did feel sorry for John Terry though, because I do like him, even if he plays for a side which I deeply despise. Drogba is an idiot! I really, really don’t like him to say the least! He has such a bad attitude and has such bad sportsmanship, it does my head in!

Staying on a sporty note, I’m off to see the England Cricket boys do their thing for the 4th day of the New Zealand test match. I have been wanting to see them for a while and my dad and I just spontaneously bought tickets today (well, it’s 1:00 in the morning now so I guess it’s “yesterday”) Imagine the luck in that! I am really excited as I loved cricket, but this will be my first test match, and the fact that this was all done on impulse makes it even more exciting!

Even more exciting news; I might be in the Guinness Book Of World Records! Wouldn’t that be amazing! I recently saw one of y2kjon’s video’s where he and his mate try to drink 6 cans of fizzy drinks in response to a nerimon video, they failed, and only managed 3 cans in 30 mins (Nerimon only got 1!). I, however managed to drink Six 330ml cans of diet coke without throwing up in under 30 mins! I (being the loser I am) checked the Guinness World Records website, and sure enough, no-one had set the record for most cans of fizzy drink “Ingested” in a minute. I then made an account with the website and applied for a invigilator to come over and check if I am obeying the rules in my next attempt! They haven’t replied yet, but the application form stated that it may take up to 4-6 weeks to be accepted.

I was denyed YouTube partner for madass movies :-( again :-( . I thought that now I have over 100 subs then it may change things, but youtube don’t seem to think so.

I have recently made a “Ask The PM” video, it should be uploaded by the time you read this.

Finally, Tristan and I made a podcast at the start of may, but I hadn’t uploaded it yet, I recently uploaded it and it should be up on the iTunes podcast directory within the week! I uploaded our Pilot Episode, but since it is the Half-Term holiday’s we are going to start recording Episode 1 on thursday!

Anyways, thats all for now

Peace x

Toilet Blog

May 20, 2008 by Admin

Yes I am on the loo right now.

Imagine that.

Now go clean the sick off your keyboard…

In the words of Becky Radcliffe: “I DON’T LIKE IT! I DON’T LIKE IT!” Haha! Inside joke…

Hello! Hows you? Ha, I hate it when people type that in posts because it always makes me think, “Yeah i’m good, how are you?”, sometimes I say it out loud but no-one replies…

Anyway, I should have been doing lots of blogs before this one but I have had a lot of stuff on… and I am lazy.

I did do the abbot hall video, but I didn’t like it so I decided to delete it. Alternately, I am making random pulling faces videos which should be up soon… maybe?

I also did an abbot hall blog but It went on too long so let me do a short recap:

Friday: Arrived, messed around chalet, recorded my new podcast with my mate Tristan Burd (called the “Tristan and Adam Cast” - how original!) It was fun to do and should be up soon… again, maybe? I had chicken teddies for tea!

Saturday: Did the X factor rip off, we won a prize! Oh yeah! I had turkey drummers for lunch and fish fingers for tea! haha!

Sunday: Last day :-(. We ate, (I hate chicken teddies again! Haha!) We all had a big group photo, and we drove off into reality…                                                            Ha!

Yeah, so, yeah.

Our conservatory is almost done!!! yay! Touchwood! All that needs doing now is the doors need to be put on and the sofas brought in.

I can now properly record because I bought iStudioLink which allows me to plug my mixer and digital mp3 deck into my mac! woo!

I went into manchester with my mate Jonty the other day, and he bought me Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 for mac! It’s amazing! lol! It was for my birthday btw.

Lastly, I have given into the monster that is facebook, I have been trying to stay away, but I just had to see what the fuss was all about.

My Facebook

My Facebook. Add me and stuff.

Anyways! I must be off now because I have been on the loo whayyyy to long now and my bum hurts from all of the sitting. Lol! Haha!

On that bombshell! (Don’t you just love top gear!)

Peace x

Labyrinthitis

May 12, 2008 by Admin

Hello all!
Im sorry that I haven’t done a proper blog in ages, I have had alot of stuff on.

Exams are over! I am happy to say! Now all we have to do is sit down and waste away the year! Woo Woo!

I have been off school today as I have Labyrinthitis/Vertigo.

I really cannot be bothered to explain what it is so just look at this wikipedia page if you want to know more: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Labyrinthitis

I am really dizzy all the time and I can’t really stand up, so I am lying down in bed writing down this blog.

We went to Alton Towers - ultimate event this saturday, It was really good. Delirious were really good as well, Kingdom Of Comfort Is An Amazing Album!

The queues were absolutely ridiculous, I have never seen it so busy, I would guess that their was 22,000 people there and maybe 10-11,000 at the gig, it was crazy.

We managed to get on the front row of corkscrew, oblivion, nemesis and air. So it was still pretty good! Jordan, Amy, Becky and I ended up playing rounders outside the event area. Jordan and Amy ended up beating us by 2 rounds. Daym!

We all ended up getting home quite late (1:40) because a couple of people got lost and walked to the wrong car park! Doh!

Anyways I think thats it for now. I am tired and disorientated and I need to get some sleep.

Abbot Hall blog hopefully coming soon!

Peace
